Your Sitter Session…
We want to focus on your little one with a minimalistic approach.  We don't like the scene to distract from the focus and beauty of our main subject – your baby!  Props are simply used as an enhancement to the setup to lend a natural and timeless look.  For example, a soft beautiful blanket or fur rug for your baby to sit or lay on.
Experience
Your sitter session is a curated experience. We can go over the theme and details as well as outfits and backgrounds. For sitter sessions, we do select some props that will enhance your baby’s sitting experience in our studio.  Sitting babies are usually still small enough to fit into some adorable props, such as a shallow bowl, a crate, or a little bed.  Babies are often amused and curious when I place them in a prop, and usually results in some cute smiles and expressions!
At Our Portrait Studio
We offer fine art Sitter Sessions in  the comfort of our beautiful home studio. We also offer our Signature Portrait Session at the your home as well for an additional fee for clients who love all of the studio-style poses for wall art, but additionally desire to capture a variety of lifestyle baby and family portraits that incorporate the nursery and meaningful settings within the home.  We will bring along portable lighting equipment, props and accessories to set up a studio in your home for the “classic” posed newborn portraits.
What To Wear
Clothing is a key element for beautiful, timeless portraits. We can typically get two different outfits in one session.  This gives us plenty of variety for your baby’s portraits. You are responsible for providing your little ones outfits. 
Artistically Edited
Art takes time!  But rest assured, it’s worth the wait.  For every minute we spend together with you, we spend hundreds more behind the scenes to make your portraits and overall experience exceptional.  Following your Sitter Session, we carefully compare the hundreds of images from your session to select the best ones from each concept — based on facial expressions, posing, lighting, sharpness, background, and overall appeal.   These final images are each individually processed and enhanced into a true work of art. You will receive your private online gallery of beautifully edited portraits within 3-4 weeks of your session to make your order selections.  You’re of course welcome to share your gallery with family and friends.
Displaying Your Portraits
We believe in tangible artwork for your home, as well as digital files for archiving. We offer a curated collection of the highest quality products, from keepsake albums to various custom wall art displays to complement any home décor.  Adding a family member is a momentous occasion.  The heirloom quality of our products ensures that your newborn portraits will be enjoyed for generations!

SchedulingA sitter session typically takes place between baby’s sixth to ninth month.  There is no exact or correct time, since all babies achieve milestones at slightly different ages.  You want to do it once your baby can sit up unassisted, but before they can crawl away!   This allows us to sit them on the floor or in a prop and capture adorable images of them looking around and smiling. A lot of parents also like to come in around the six month mark, since it represents the halfway point to the first birthday. 
We have many families who are on a “baby portrait plan.” This means they may come in for two or more milestone sessions during baby’s first year. Although the sitter session is always a popular pick, other great choices include a tummy time session and of course a cake smash for their first birthday! As always, We recommend booking well in advance to guarantee availability and allow enough time for the pre-session planning of our portrait process together. 
How long will your session last?
Our sitter sessions typically last between 30-40 minutes. Additional hours available.
