Capturing the little things!

Making it to 1 is no small task and it’s always great to celebrate with a first birthday photo session and cake smash. I bring all of the props (and cake) to you and we have some fun documenting your little one - and all that 1-year-old energy! The first year is like no other… in just a short time, your baby has grown into a mini person with a big personality and emerging independence. Cake smash sessions are a fun way to celebrate first or second birthdays with beautiful (and messy) portraits that you’ll cherish for years to come.

FAQ

Do you include parent or sibling shots?
We try and focus on your little one. If we have time we can include parent or siblings or you can add on extra time. 
Tips on how to prepare for your session!
It is a good idea to do a trial run at home a few days before with a cupcake with frosting. Some kids have never had sweets before, or have a hard time feeling dirty or messy. Giving them a chance to experience these sensations for the first time at home can make it easier on the day of the session. 
What if my child has a scratch or bruise?
We know kids at this age are on the move! Lots of falling and tripping. If your child has a small mark on their face, dont worry as I am able to touch it up in post. :)
What to wear?
We suggest 3 outfits. One for sitting, One for the smash cake, and one backup. Also a swim diaper if you have one for bath photos. 
What should I bring?
You will need to bring the cake, a towel for the bubble bath and snacks such as puffs and water for your child. If you are providing the props and any sentimental items we suggest you bring those also. Along with your outfits. 

The Cake Should be 5-6" with a soft butter cream icing and a light color cake inside (no red velvet). Please leave the cake at room temperature for about 2 hours prior to our session.

Hi it's Paul. I have been a photographer for over 12 years now, putting my heart and soul into what I truly believe are the most memorable moments.

With over 12 years of photography experience, 4 littles ones I know the importance of family, and how quick time flies. I am outgoing, talkative, silly, and love, love love getting the chance to watch my clients become my friends. From their engagements to weddings. Maternity to newborns, watching your family grow with mine is one of the main reasons I love what I do! Now, more than ever, we all need something to hold onto that reminds us of what truly matters. So I strive to create a memorable experience unique and amazing for every family.
